Do Liquid Daily Multivitamin Help With Energy?

If you’ve found yourself dragging your feet through each day, barely able to keep your eyes open when it matters most, you are not alone. Many people suffer from lack of energy and an overarching feeling of tiredness. If that’s the case for you, you might consider taking Liquid Daily multivitamins in order to combat this feeling.

A question that many people have is whether BetterFamily’s liquid supplement helps with boosting energy, since feeling sleepy and sluggish is something that plagues so many people. The answer is: Yes! Our Liquid Daily multivitamin can help you feel energized and more like yourself, and that’s all thanks to one of its main ingredients: B complex vitamins.

B Complex Vitamins

First off, it’s important to understand the connection between B complex vitamins and energy. These vitamins help your body convert the food you eat into energy in order to help you move throughout your daily tasks (1). They serve other purposes as well, like taking part in forming red blood cells that assist with clotting.

There are 8 B vitamins in total, including: Vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3 (niacin), vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin b7 (biotin), vitamin b12 (cobalamin), and folic acid (folate). You can find these B vitamins in a number of foods - mostly animal products like meat, seafood, eggs, and dairy. You can also get more B vitamins in your diet by increasing your intake of legumes, leafy greens, seeds, and other enriched/fortified foods.

Getting B vitamins through food is not the best method for everyone, though. Some people may be extremely picky eaters, some may have digestive issues that make absorption difficult, or some may just need a boost when it comes to B complex vitamins. That’s where B vitamin supplements come in - like what’s included in our Liquid Daily multivitamin.

B Complex and Energy

Getting your B vitamins through a supplement is different than getting them through food. It should be noted that supplements can’t take the place of the food that you eat, because B vitamins are simply the catalyst to converting the calories into energy. They can’t do all of the work on their own.

They can be compared to the charcoal of a match - you need the charcoal in order to make a flame, but on its own, the charcoal can’t create fire. In other words, B complex vitamins can’t help your body convert food into energy if there isn’t anything to convert.

Just because B complex vitamins can’t do all the work on their own doesn’t mean they can’t make you feel better, though. For example, someone with pernicious anemia can benefit greatly from taking a B complex vitamin by the supplement improving their red blood cell count and, therefore, decreasing symptoms of fatigue. The same can also be said for those who have had gastric surgeries in the past.

Who Can Benefit From B Complex Vitamins?

If you are someone who eats a relatively balanced diet, it’s likely that you’re already getting all the B vitamins that your body needs. But there are certain groups of people who can benefit from getting a little extra. These people include:

Those who are deficient in B vitamins. If you follow a vegan or vegetarian diet, you could be at risk for a B vitamin deficiency, since many products that contain B vitamins are animal products. A deficiency can also occur due to food scarcity, or certain medical conditions. If you think that you might be deficient in B vitamins, your doctor can do a blood test to confirm this. If you receive a diagnosis, your doctor may prescribe you a B complex supplement to boost your energy and correct the deficiency.

People with certain medical conditions, like pernicious anemia, could benefit from taking a B complex supplement. Other conditions that fall into this category are irritable bowel syndrome, hypothyroidism, Grave’s disease, or other autoimmune conditions. Talk to your doctor to see if a B complex supplement is a good choice for you and your condition.

If you are on a regimen of certain medications, a B complex supplement may benefit you. For example, if you take certain anti-rheumatics, anticonvulsants, or sulfa drugs, these could interfere with your body’s ability to absorb a few of the B vitamins. A B complex supplement could help increase your levels.

Finally, you could benefit from a B complex supplement if you are pregnant. Supplements can support both the mother and the baby’s health, and prenatal vitamins typically contain a slew of B vitamins. Just remember, such supplements are not meant to replace a healthy, balanced diet.
